Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 8, 2026
Julia’s Kitchen · Postpartum Guide (this juliaskitchen.ca website) is an educational guide. We have built it to collect as little personal information as possible. This page explains what that means.
What we collect
- No accounts, no sign-up. You can read everything here without giving us any information.
- Analytics cookie only. We use Google Analytics (see below), which sets a first-party cookie to measure how the site is used. We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and this guide does not run advertising of its own.
- Server logs. Like almost all websites, our hosting provider keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested) to deliver the site securely and reliably. These are used for operations and security, not to profile you.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand, in aggregate, which guides are helpful and how to improve them. To keep the site fast and respect your time, the analytics script loads only if you actively interact with a page (for example, scrolling, tapping, or moving the pointer) — it is never loaded just because you opened a page. Google Analytics sets a first-party cookie and processes technical data such as your approximate location (derived from your IP address, which Google does not store), device and browser type, and the pages you view. We have not enabled Google’s advertising or cross-device (Google Signals) features on this site, so the data collected here is not used to build advertising profiles, and we never sell it. You can opt out through your browser’s privacy settings or with Google’s opt-out browser add-on.
Email and the meal-plan offer
A free meal-plan offer may appear on the site. Email sign-up is not active yet. If and when it is, we will only use the email you give us to send what you asked for, you will be able to unsubscribe at any time, and we will update this policy with the details.
Links to other sites
This guide links to our official meal-ordering sites (juliaskitchen.org, juliaskitchen.net), Julia’s doula site, and social media (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube). When you click through to our official sites, we add standard campaign tags (UTM parameters) to the link — for example, noting that the visit came from this guide and in which language. These tags identify the source of the visit, not you as an individual, and are the same for everyone who clicks that link. Once you follow any link, the destination’s own privacy policy applies. Our official ordering sites are run separately and may use their own analytics and advertising tools (such as Google Ads); this guide itself does not.
Children
This site is for adults arranging postpartum care. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices and contact
Because we collect so little, there is usually nothing to access or delete. If you have a privacy question, please reach us through the contact page on our official site at juliaskitchen.org or juliaskitchen.net.
Changes
We may update this policy as the site grows. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version.
